We resumed the Chess in Schools training programme in Budaka on 20th - 22nd September. 200 children registered on Day 1. With 175 on Day 2 and 168 on Day 3.
Over the weekend our partners and coaches from SOM Chess Academy took the kids through notation and the use of clocks.
This month we managed to receive enough support from our patrons and donors as well as some sales of our DIDA ball caps which helped in providing meals over the 3 days for all children and teachers.
Our closing assembly on Sunday acknowledged two medalists in the programme out of 10 students who attended a local competition and won.
Thank you again for your continued support. We will resume in October for our last training programme of 2019. We also hope to hold an end of year inter school tournament in November, if we are able to raise enough funds. Please keep supporting us!
